Thereafter you should sit for a law school entry exam such as the LSAT. After the LSAT you should pick a law school and study for another 3 to 4 years. This field of law requires lot of documentation. Corporate lawyers are mostly inhouse and don’t go to courts often but preferring out of courts settlements. This is because going to courts can have an effect on their respective companies reputation.

Property lawyers

Property lawyers deal with all things related to property. This includes being a conveyancer and handling land related disputes. Property related cases can take many years to end. Further all documentation relating to land and property are handled by these lawyers. These lawyers draw up contracts and create easements and such for clients. Property law is also a very popular field in law due to the constant demand and disputes of land.

Intellectual property lawyers

Intellectual property lawyers commonly deal with patents, trademarks and copyrights. These lawyers protect intellectual properties. They are experts in filing trademarks and copyrights to create their client the designated owners by law thereby limiting others by using their rights. Intellectual property law is a growing area in law and has become quite popular among lawyers. Similar to conveyancing intellectual property lawyers deal with transfer of rights also.

Family Lawyers

Family lawyers handle all dispute related to family. This includes divorce, separation, child custody, adoption, domestic abuse, guardianship, civil unions and paternity are some of them. These issues can be solved out of courts or by trials. Trials usually mean publicity so most people prefer to solve issues quietly.
